This site is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You may browse freely and share links to pages or images.

Automated scraping, bulk downloading of images, and any commercial use of content without permission are not permitted.

Accuracy

I write and maintain this site with care, but I cannot guarantee that all information (dates, distances, equipment details, processing notes) is always accurate or current. Where figures are estimates or subject to revision I try to say so.

Weather Data and the Clear Night Tool

The Clear Night tool provides weather and atmospheric data from third-party sources for general planning purposes only. This information is provided strictly as a reference guide. It is not intended to be relied upon for safety-critical decisions, and it must not be treated as a substitute for official weather forecasts or professional meteorological advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law: (a) I make no representation, warranty or guarantee, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for any particular purpose of any weather data or forecasts displayed by the tool; (b) I expressly disclaim all liability for any loss, damage, cost or expense of any nature whatsoever (including but not limited to damage to equipment, loss of data, personal injury or consequential loss) arising from your use of or reliance on the Clear Night tool or any data it provides; and (c) the tool is provided entirely at your own risk. Poor weather conditions can develop rapidly and without warning; always check multiple authoritative sources before committing to outdoor activity.

The weather data displayed is sourced from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com, CC BY 4.0), 7Timer! (7timer.info) and the World Atlas 2015 light pollution dataset. Location names are resolved using Nominatim (nominatim.openstreetmap.org), operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. I am not responsible for errors, outages or changes to any of those services.

Some pages link to or embed content from external services, including Instagram and YouTube. I have no control over those services and am not responsible for their content or privacy practices. My Privacy Policy explains how those embeds are handled on this site.

Limitation of Liability

The site and its content are provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.
